
Are you one of the top 10% of performers in your organization?
A recent poll in Business Week found that overall 90% of workers polled said they were in the top 10% of performers. An impossible number of "yes" responses came from 89% of females, 91% of males and a whopping 97% of executives.

Your comments on self-esteem and reality and how the coach can help a client see reality more clearly was helpful. It answered some of the questions that came up when we discuss coaching.
Sometimes it feels that people are reacting to the idea that coaching seems like an exercise in improving one's self-esteem, or a glorified "pep talk", especially for those who haven't experienced a session with a good coach.
This article helped point out the problems people at either end of the spectrum (inflated or deflated self-esteem) could be helped through coaching.
